Data collected
This site has no form, no account and no newsletter, and collects no personal data through its pages. Fonts and images are served with the site; the only file loaded from elsewhere is the audience measurement script described below.
Connection data
As with any website, the host that delivers the pages, Cloudflare, Inc., processes technical connection data, such as your IP address and the page requested, in order to deliver them and keep the service secure. Its global network may process this data outside the European Union for routing and security.
Audience measurement
To see which pages are read and how quickly they load, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. When a page opens, a Cloudflare script (static.cloudflareinsights.com) sends Cloudflare the page address, the site you came from, your browser, operating system and type of device, the country your connection comes from, and loading times.
It sets no cookie, does not use your browser's storage and does not identify you or follow you from site to site: jCode sees only aggregated statistics. This measurement rests on the company's legitimate interest in knowing how its site is used. To object, block static.cloudflareinsights.com in your browser or content blocker; the site works just the same without it. Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Union.
MCP server
jCode's MCP server (mcp.jcode-works.workers.dev) answers the requests an AI assistant sends it once a developer connects it. It is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., on an account separate from this site's. The knowledge base the site's prompts give (service.jcode.works) is a text file served with the site, like its pages.
It keeps nothing: what your assistant sends it, such as a job description or a question, is read only to compute the answer and is neither stored nor written to a log. As it does for the site, Cloudflare processes technical connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver the answer and keep the service secure, and may do so outside the European Union. What your assistant does with the answer is governed by its own provider's policy.
Cookies
The site sets no audience measurement, advertising or social media cookies and does not use your browser's storage, which is why no consent banner is shown.
Links to other sites
Links to other sites, such as Malt, LinkedIn, GitHub, npm, WorkoutGen or the sources cited in the guides, open services that apply their own privacy policies. A conversation started on Malt or LinkedIn is handled on that platform.
Emails
If you write to contact@jcode.works, your message and the details it contains are used only to answer your request: on the basis of the company's legal obligation when you exercise a right over your personal data, and of its legitimate interest in answering you otherwise.
Messages are kept only as long as handling the request requires, and longer only where the law requires proof that it was handled. The mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace, which may process this data outside the European Union.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask for access to the data concerning you, its correction or its erasure, and object to or restrict its processing, by writing to contact@jcode.works or to the registered office address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
