How it works

From your first message to the handover

The same four steps on every engagement, so you know what happens next and what you receive.

  1. You describe your project

Send a short brief on Malt or LinkedIn: your project, budget and target date. I confirm availability and the next step.

  2. We agree the scope

Scope, schedule, pricing (fixed price or day rate), working hours and how we communicate, agreed in writing before work starts.

  3. You follow the work

Code reviews, demos or written reports keep progress visible. Every change I deliver is reviewed and tested.

  4. Handover and follow-up

Documentation, recommendations and, for development work, code whose rights the contract assigns to you. Maintenance by agreement.

Projects

Teams I joined

How I worked inside a public institution, a startup and a large company, and what I delivered.

  1. Sciences Po · Confidential project

    2026 · 6 months

    One 18-month engagement · 3 projects

    Confidential · NDA

Full-stack foundation of an academic portal

The Spring Boot and Next.js foundation every later feature builds on, designed and built with another developer alongside the school's product, UX and IT teams.

  2. Storybook of the Sciences Po design system: the stepper component in red, its individual states and step-by-step progressions, with the component list in the sidebar

Institutional design system for React and Angular

One component library serves the school's React and Angular applications alike. I was its main developer, working with the UX designers on every component.

  3. Leadbay lead list with sector, location and size columns, next to the details of a selected company

    Leadbay (Y Combinator F25)

    2023 · 25 · 21 months

B2B prospecting platform, web and mobile

A frontend that kept pace with every product iteration for 21 months, built in direct contact with the CTO and the product team.

  4. A Suzuki France dealer site produced by the platform

    Suzuki France

    2021 · 22 · 12 months

    National website and dealer-site platform

Every dealer site managed from one back office, and a national website connected to Suzuki's internal APIs. A year inside the delivery team, with full frontend autonomy.

About

Working inside your team

From the first week, I adopt the way your team works: a habit formed with Suzuki France and Decathlon before AI coding tools, which coding agents, used within your company's rules, have not changed.

Through jCode, I work with public institutions, established companies and startups. My own products, WorkoutGen and Ragmir, taught me what follows a release.

FAQ

Working together

What is your day rate?

€550 excluding VAT per day, indicative as of October 2026. The proposal for your engagement then depends on its scope, length and responsibilities.

Do you work on site?

No. All my freelance work is fully remote, as were my engagements for Sciences Po, Leadbay and Suzuki France. Meeting times are agreed with your team, and written updates cover the rest.

Can you work through an agency or IT services company?

Yes, with EURL jCode as the contracting company. I have already worked through RECSI Group for Sciences Po, and through DPS Syneido for Decathlon France, Suzuki France and Oney.

Can you work on just the frontend or backend?

Yes. My engagements for Leadbay, Sweez and Decathlon covered the frontend only, in React, Next.js or Svelte. On the backend, I work with Node.js and TypeScript, Java / Spring Boot and Symfony.

Will you use AI tools on our code?

Yes, within your company's rules: the tools, accounts and data it allows. I use business or API accounts that keep client code out of training; the contract provides for the assignment of rights to the code I deliver, AI-assisted code included. The agentic development page has the details.

Can you work like a forward deployed engineer?

Yes for the work, no for the title: I work fully remote, embedded in your team and accountable for an agreed part of the product. The forward deployed engineering page explains the role and where my experience fits.
